a small dash of hope
but it’s not enough. enraged,
I call an old friend

Obama has a post up asking us to remember that our local elections are vitally important to reforming the criminal justice system. He encourages all of us, especially our younger generations, to step up, get informed and actually show up to vote in our state and local elections for our Police Chiefs, our Attorneys General, our School Boards and our Mayors and to pay a bit less attention to our president! It was humbling to read, reminded me how much more informed and involved I need to be, but it still did not abate the anger I have in my heart as I read any of the news today.
