September 6-12  |  Labor Monster

Turns out Labor Day was the first day Tim and I could make it up to the Parker River Refuge Beach. As we left the beach, walking along the boardwalk with its sunlit yellow stairs, climbing in and out of the dunes, it was outrageously beautiful to consider that moment/vision as the official end of summer. It was a perfect day, but my week was really made when I received 2 drawings in the mail from Ben Muecke. One was a memory drawing from our trip to Freedom last fall, and the other was of this wicked cool, colorful dude that I have named “The Labor Monster.”
