7.20.15 | Number 9 Dream
I couldn’t get through this book, but this bit is sticking with me, especially as I work on this particular project:
An old woman in this story visits the train station lost and found regularly claiming that she’s lost her pictures…
Picture Lady to Station Employee: “I got the old ones back, but I ain’t got the new ones back.”
Station Employee to His Boss: “Is she a regular?”
Station Boss: “We’re a part of her schedule - Did you work out what her ‘pictures’ are?”
Station Employee: ”Some sort of family albums, I figured?”
Station Boss: “I took her literally at first, too. But I think she’s talking about her memories.”
