Me, Jolly V, Mom, Uncle Bob, & Graham all joined up for Tim’s Inuksuit gig at the Arnold Arboretum. From one gathering place each percussionist took off in a different direction, some swinging whistling tubes, others blowing horns. We all followed our chosen Pid Piper, going deeper and deeper into the woods until each musician arrived at their designated spot. Having Vera at 2.5 years old in my arms as she tried to visually follow the amazing sounds traveling throughout the woods made the moment that much more amazing…I wonder, will she remember her uncle strangely playing music in the woods one day? Will she be walking in the woods as a young adult, hear an unusual sound and have some vague sense that she’s heard it before?
