I read a quote from Maya Angelou recently and have been thinking about it a lot, as it is so right on:

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them; the first time.”

If I only understood that the first time I met Tim so many years before we actually went on a date and before I wasted efforts on other obviously ill fated matches in the meantime! I knew him right away for all of the great qualities I value the most. Hearts and minds can be so ridiculously uncommunicative. At least we figured it out sooner than later :)

RIP Maya, your wisdom was something else.
