“Tears Become Streams Become”…Today we traveled to NYC to see this performance piece by Daniel Gordon at the Park Avenue Armory. Our good friend Pat Muecke was in charge of building the stage which required flooding the entire room with 122,000 gallons of water. When the water had filled in the floor, the lights were raised up to the armory ceiling and suddenly the floor was a perfect reflection of the entire room and ceiling above. The pianist Helene Grimaud walked to her piano and began to play in the middle of the pool which appeared to be hundreds of feet deep.
